  • Markie has been a professional puppeteer for the past 35 years. She has performed extensively in 38 states and 4 foreign countries.

  • Do you have any special requirements for your performances?

  • Markie needs to have an 8' rectangular table, an outlet or power source. She provides the sound system, stage, puppets, laughs, learning and everlasting memories.
  • How long is each puppet show or assembly?

  • The shows are 45 minutes to 1 hour long. Set up time is at least 1 1/2 hours prior to that. Workshops are 2 hours long. Markie brings a whole treasure of supplies but it is very helpful if the hiring party can provide extra supplies to add to the fun. These might include buttons, yarn, fabric scraps, pipe cleaners, sissors that can cut cloth. Basically anything to enhance the puppet's appearances. Please don't feel the need to run out and buy lots of supplies. Just gather as many bangles, baubles and wonderful things as you can.
  • How much time is needed between shows?

  • The minimum amount of time between shows should not be less than 15 minutes, 1/2 hour is better.
  • May the show be videotaped or audio taped?

  • This is allowed on rare occasions but permission in writting is required.
  • Does Markie have a contract to be signed?
  • Yes, indeed. A confirmation letter and contract will be sent to you prior to the performance(s).
  • Does Markie have a press packet?
  • Markie has a professional press packet that she is happy to supply to all sponsors. She encourages you to use these materials because as we all know, advance information presented in an intriguing way is the very best way to get enthusiastic and large audiences.
