The Home Of Markie Scholz Nestled deep in the Northern Black Hills of South Dakota there lies four geodesic domes. Markie, her husband Dick Termes (artist and inventer of the Termesphere) along with their two children Lang and Kabe Termes have co-existed in this funny round village for over twenty years. Located behind the domes are swings, ponds and wildlife sanctuaries. This is where Markie finds her inspiration and creates her wonderful fantasies. In this environment, I guarantee you would be dreaming some fanciful dreams too. In the beginning, it was only Markie and Dick in one dome. However, as the family began to grow, so did their geodesic village. Soon, there were two domes. The third dome was built for Markie's puppet show creations. Then, not too many years later, there came to be a fourth dome, complete with its very own cupola crowning the top. Each dome was built for the family, by the family. While it may appear to be a bit out of the ordinary, Markie and her family have no problem calling the Dragon Cave their home. |
