Liza is lonely. She wants a pet. So she does the only sensible thing, she researches how to conjure up a dragon at her local library. With a few abracadabras, a couple of alakazams, and a large poof of dust - Zed the Dragon arrives. She only has a couple of problems: how to keep her new best friend secret and how to find enough food to feed a dragon with a colossal appetite. Her mom keeps saying, "No pets, Liza." Worse yet, her evil next door neighbor, Mrs Crylon, and her monster dog, Slubber, have plans to kidnap Zed the Dragon so they can sell him to the zoo.
