Booking underway for Dragons Puppets

The Dragons are getting ready to hit the road! Every summer Dragons Are Too Seldom Puppets( that’s me and a whole lot of my puppet friends) tours public libraries throughout the United States. This year we will be in South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and New Mexico.  Every Year the libraries have a Summer Reading Theme.  This year the theme is “Build a Better World” Every year I create a show that goes along with the theme.  My show this year is “Quest for the Junkyard Dragon” which is full of dragons, trolls, screeming meemies, witches and queens.  Sharn our heroine must navigate through all to help build a better world.  I will be a blast! AND I still have open dates if anyone is interested.

Last week I had the great pleasure of working with Westside Preschool and Fit and Fun Daycare and After School Program. I did a In-service with the staffs of both centers teaching them how to make puppets, manipulate them, and how to use them as a teaching tool in the classroom.  It was a blast! What a creative excited group.  Here are some of the characters they created.

    HI Judy,
I am not scheduled to be in the North East part of the state but would love to come to your area. I do have dates in July open if you are interested. My fee is $600 a show or $1100 for 2 shows or a show and a workshop on the same day but I am on a matching funds grant from the South Dakota Art Council so they will match up to 50% for non profits. I hope to hear from you. Happy Spring! Markie Scholz Dragons Are Too Seldom Puppets

  2. Do you just do this at libraries or could you do it for children at an All School Reunion? Bison will be celebrating 110 years June 23, 2018. We will also have a new school building then. Would be fun to have your show and a workshop either at the new school or the public library in town. Please respond and I would check with our committee. Thank you.
